
Jay McHale
President, Equity Services
Jay McHale is President of Equity Services, the largest of Computershare’s businesses in the United States. As a member of the US leadership management team, he is charged with building upon Computershare’s excellence in the transfer agent and equity compensation industry. To date, he has introduced a number of innovative service offerings amid a challenging regulatory and financial environment and continues to position the business as the premier service provider in the marketplace.
Throughout his 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Jay has presided over numerous complex business integration projects including significant acquisitions, divestitures and reorganizations. Prior to joining Computershare in August 2007, Jay was the Chief Operations Officer for Harris Investment Management, a $17 billion multi-strategy investment management firm, where, in addition to ongoing operations, he was responsible for portfolio accounting, trade processing and systems. Jay’s roles also included direct management of the shareholder services and trust divisions at Bank of Montreal/Harris.
Jay earned a BS in Finance from DePaul University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago. He serves on the board of Action for Healthy Kids, a national not-for-profit and volunteer network fighting childhood obesity and undernourishment, as well as on the advisory board of directors for the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago.

Joe Spadaford
Executive Vice President, Operations
Joe has 35 years experience in the financial services industry, primarily running large operating departments and businesses.
He joined Computershare in July 2007 from AXA Equitable where he led several strategic process improvement initiatives and became the firm’s first Certified Master Black Belt in Six Sigma. Prior to joining AXA, Joe was President of First Chicago Trust where he led the shareholder servicing group for many years, building it into a service leader among large transfer agents. Joe was also instrumental in the integration of First Chicago with Boston EquiServe to form EquiServe.
Additionally, Joe was Senior Vice President of commercial loan operations at First Chicago—where he drove transformational changes in service delivery. He was previously a senior manager at Citibank, leading Eurocurrency and Citicorp Funding operations.
Joe is a CPA and has broad expertise in risk management and operational controls. He holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Adelphi University in Banking and Financial Markets. He is also a licensed Securities Principal and Registered Representative (Series 24 and 7).

Charlie Rossi
Executive Vice President, Client Services
Charlie Rossi is the Executive Vice President of Client Services at Computershare Investor Services. Charlie’s role at Computershare includes a focus on client relationships, prospects and industry issues. He has over 25 years of experience in corporate stock and mutual funds operations management at Boston Financial, Shawmut Bank, BankBoston and EquiServe.
Charlie maintains a high profile in the stock transfer industry. He is the current President of the Securities Transfer Association (STA), which is a member of the Shareholder Communications Coalition. Charlie is also an active member of the industry’s Joint DRS Committee and is a past president, director and national representative of the Northeast Securities Transfer Association (NESTA). charles.rossi@computershare.com
